The centre back has not been a key presence for the Three Lions so far at Russia with Gareth Southgate preferring the pairing of Harry Maguire, John Stones and Kyle Walker at centre back. He has only played in the third group game against Belgium which the first team players were rested. He will be hoping he could get more minutes in the game against Sweden in the Quarter finals.
Ashley Young has been a surprising starter for England at this world cup. The United defender has started games ahead of Danny Rose and the manager seems to prefer him at that left wing back position. He has however not found the back of the net but he has been key figure in the Three Lions first team. He will be hoping to continue in the starting lineup against Sweden.
A constant sub for the attack line of England. He has only started the Belgium game and has not score in this tournament. He however found the back of the net during the penalty shootout against Colombia. He has been decent so far whenever he has been call up from the bench.

He has been an exceptional player in the middle of the park for France in this tournament. He had a goal against Australia that was later awarded as an own-goal. He will hope to help his country get to the final of the tournament.
If there is one United player that has stood up for himself in this world cup, it has to be Sweden defender, Victor Lindelof. He had a mix season last season and many had not expected him to perform at this world cup, but he has surprised his critics. He has been rock solid for Sweden so far. No wonder they are in the quarter finals.
Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini
Belgium world cup aspirations would have ended if we take away the performance of the two United players with them. Romelu Lukaku four goals in the group stage was pivotal to them finishing top of the group. Marouane Fellaini equalizer against Japan will foreverstand as one of the greatest come back in world cup history. Both players have had a very good world cup outing and will be hoping they could help their team conquer Brazil next.
Nemanja Matic and David de Gea are the only Manchester United players that have not been too fantastic while representing their country, Serbia and Spain respectively.
