Goalkeeper:

Spanish international, David De Gea is arguably the best keeper in the League and is expected to remain in goal barring any injury worries.

He will be hoping to add to his clean sheet tally for the season having kept a league high of 15 in 26 games so far this season.

Defence:

United have been solid defensively so far this season having conceded the fewest number of goals (18) and would be hoping to keep the Magpies attackers at bay on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho is expected to stick to his four at the back system and will likely field the same backline he used at Old Trafford against Huddersfield last weekend.

At right-back, Antonio Valencia is expected to retain his place barring any injury worries having made the spot his own while in the heart of defence, the impressive pairing of Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo is expected.

At left-back, Luke Shaw is expected to retain his place having continued to impress since he forced his way into the Special One starting eleven.

Midfield:

Despite dropping influential midfielder Paul Pogba to the bench for highly rated youngster Mc Tominay against the Terriers last weekend, the Frenchman is expected to return to the starting line-up to partner Serbian midfielder, Nemanja Matic in a midfield pivot.

While Pogba is expected to support the attack with his long balls and defence splitting passes, Nemanja Matic is expected to provide the necessary cover for the defence.

In attacking midfield, Alexis Sanchez is expected to start on the left and would be hoping to add to his tally for the season having open his Manchester United goal scoring account against Huddersfield last weekend while in the hole behind the striker, Jesse Lingard is expected to retain his place.

On the right, Juan Mata is expected to retain his place having turned provider for Romelu Lukaku’s goal against the Terriers at Old Trafford last weekend.

Attack:

Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku is expected to lead the line and will be hoping to continue his good run of form against the Magpies having averaged a goal or assist every 65 minutes against the Tyneside club in the Premier League.
