Manchester United Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku has suffered a deep on for in recent weeks which have really drawn the attention of the fans complains. The Belgian international has been struggling to it the target in the last seven matches. His decision to walk away from the penalty against Benfica shows that he his struggling with low confidence.

This might be as a result of the boss he got from the United fans during the match against Tottenham at Old Trafford. Regardless of the situation, he needs to rediscover his mojo.

Jose Mourinho has opening come out to back his striker and feel the criticism are unfounded. Mourinho’s claim might be right but if it continues like this, he will have no choice but to drop him to the bench.

The good news for United is the Zlatan Ibrahimovic is close to full match fitness. This will help complement Lukaku’s goal and this will douse the expectation on him.

However, United have to start looking critically into the output of their attacking and creative players. The likes of Henrikh mkhitaryan and Juan Mata have added little in recent time to the goals ratio.

Scoring week in week out might be impossible to ask for but putting in a stellar performance is not too much to ask.

Chelsea is next up at Stamford Bridge and the way United set up as a team is up very important in helping Lukaku discover his best back.
